Measures

When you are in hospital, the care you receive is tailored for you as an individual. For Advancing Quality, doctors, nurses and clinical staff across the North West of England have agreed a number of key things should happen, which are referred to as clinical process and outcome measures. These measures for the five original conditions - hip and knee replacement surgery, heart attack, heart bypass, heart failure and pneumonia, are explained in detail below so you know why they are important. The measures for stroke and mental health will be added at a later date.
