Good Better BestAdvancing Quality aims to improve the quality of care patients receive in hospitals across the North West of England by measuring and reporting how well the hospitals are performing. Below is a breakdown of each clinical focus area and the trust’s results for the individual measures.

 


 

The Advancing Quality results represent the standards of overall NHS trusts, rather than specific hospital sites.

Leigh Infirmary, Royal Albert Edward Infirmary and Wrightington Hospital form Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.

 

 


Heart attack

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh failed to meet measure completeness for Heart Attack in period two, therefore they were not eligible to have their results publicly reported.


Heart failure

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh failed to meet measure completeness for Heart Failure in period two, therefore they were not eligible to have their results publicly reported.


Hip and knee surgery

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh failed to meet measure completeness for Hip and Knee surgery in period two, therefore they were not eligible to have their results publicly reported.


Pneumonia

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh failed to meet measure completeness for Pneumonia in period one and period two, therefore they were not eligible to have their results publicly reported.


Heart bypass surgery

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh do not participate in the Heart bypass surgery clinical focus area as they are not a specialist cardiac hospital.
