Good Better BestAdvancing Quality aims to improve the quality of care patients receive in hospitals across the North West of England by measuring and reporting how well the hospitals are performing. Below is a breakdown of each clinical focus area and the trust’s results for the individual measures.

The Advancing Quality results represent the standards of overall NHS trusts, rather than specific hospital sites.

Ormskirk General and Southport and Formby General form Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust.

Heart attack

Southport and Ormskirk failed to meet measure completeness for the Heart Attack clinical focus area in period seven, therefore they were not eligible to have their results publicly reported.

Heart failure

Hip and knee surgery

 Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)

Alcohol Related Liver Disease (ARLD)

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD)

Southport and Ormskirk do not participate in the Heart bypass surgery clinical focus area as they are not a specialist cardiac hospital.
