Advancing Quality Awards 2013 – winners announced

Over 150 healthcare professionals gathered at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel yesterday for the first Advancing Quality Awards 2013.

The Awards were held to recognise the achievements to date of the acute and mental health trusts across the North West of England who participate in Advancing Quality and reflect on the impact the programme has had over the last five years.

The winners were:

AQ Team of the year

Winner: University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay

Runners up: Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust and Wirral University Teaching  Hospitals

“The judges liked the fact AQ has brought together teams  from a multi-site hospital achieving uniformity, cohesive team working, improving cultural  differences and better patient care and was really impressed by the way they have embraced AQ.”
